Wienand
Dec 3, 1922 — May 1, 2026
In Loving Memory of Alice Goodwin Wienand Beloved mother and best friend
Alice Goodwin Wienand passed away on May 1, 2026, at Hampton Manor Assisted Living in Merritt Island, Florida, at the age of 103.
She was born on December 3, 1922, in Manchester, New Hampshire, to Meda and Carl Goodwin. She was the cherished sister of Grace Monson, who preceded her in death. Alice graduated from West High School in 1940 and, the following year, married the love of her life, Carl A. Wienand. Together, they built a life centered on family and raised two sons, Marc and Gary.
In September 1956, Alice and Carl moved their young family from Manchester, New Hampshire, to Titusville, Florida, when Carl began his career with the nation's space program at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station. Alice later worked as a trusted personal secretary to Superintendent Abe Collingsworth in the Brevard County School System, where she was widely admired for her professionalism, warmth, and dedication.
Alice and Carl shared a love of golf and spent many happy years traveling the country in their Airstream trailer, creating lasting memories with family and friends. After 60 years of marriage, Carl passed away in 2001, followed by their son Marc Karl Wienand in 2002.
Alice is survived by her son Gary of Cape Canaveral, Florida; her grandchildren, Jennifer and Bradley; and her great-grandchildren, Alice, Marc, and Joshua. Her family will forever cherish her love, strength, and the beautiful legacy she leaves behind.
