A 30-year resident, Brenda passed away leaving a legacy of love and devotion. A beacon of love and warmth, she is survived by her devoted mother and her "baby" sister (both named Angela S. Ellis). Her enduring spirit will be carried on by her son, John Christopher (Chris) Ellis (father to Jazzmyn, Arya, Esme, Kaleb and Tyler); her daughter, Ashleigh R. Ellis (mother to Jaleah, Jesslyn, Jensleigh, and Paisley); and her daughter and her wife, Katrina and Reni King (mothers to Kataleigha and Zabien).

Affectionately known as "Grammy," Brenda was a maternal figure to many, defining her life through her generosity and spirit. She leaves behind a void that can never be filled. She will be profoundly missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her.

Brenda now rests in peace, reunited with those who passed before her: father, John E. Ellis, and siblings, Jeri L. Randles, Toni D. Soto, Robert R. Ellis, John S. Ellis, and Carol L. Roden.
