Carol Lee Petaccia (née Smith), 86, passed away peacefully in Rockledge, Florida, on December 22, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

Born in December 1938, Carol grew up in Fort Lee, New Jersey, and later made her home in Englewood Cliffs and Avon-by-the-Sea, New Jersey. She devoted her life to her family as a homemaker while also expressing her creativity as an artist. Carol had a deep love for nature and gardening, finding joy and peace in the beauty of the natural world. Her generosity of spirit was reflected in her involvement with numerous charitable organizations.

Carol was a wonderful mother, kind to everyone she met, and known for her warmth, compassion, and humor. She touched many lives through her thoughtfulness and quiet strength.

She was predeceased by her loving husband, Frank Vincent Petaccia. She is survived by her children, Laura Bennett, Frank Petaccia, Thomas Petaccia, and Christine Petaccia; and her cherished grandchildren, Conner McGowan, Jasmine McGowan, Jade McGowan, Alex Bennett, Blazer Bennett, Frank Petaccia, and Vince Petaccia.

Carol will be missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
