Christoper Belton Richards was born October 25, 1958 in Mount Pleasant, TX and met Jesus face to face May 20,2026.

He was adopted by Alvis and BL Richards when he was 4 days old. When he was 3, his parents adopted another baby, Cathy.

They made their home in Omaha, TX and then in Lone Star, TX. Chris graduated from Daingerfield High School in 1977 and then went on to the University of Texas in Austin where he graduated in 1981 with a degree in aerospace engineering.

He began working for Lockheed in 1981 and stayed with the company for 34 years. He left Lockheed Martin in 2015.

He moved the family to McKinney TX in 2015 where he worked at Mathnasium and Raytheon.

In 2019, they moved to Melbourne, FL where he worked for Acorn Science and Innovation, until his retirement in 2025.

He married Susan in 2003 and they remained married until his passing. In 2008 they adopted a 19 month old from China, that they named Marissa. Chris also parented Susan's son, Jared, from her first marriage.

Chris is survived by his wife Susan, son Jared, daughter in law, Ashley, daughter Marissa, sister Cathy Vickers (Lewis) , Cathy's son Chad, and 4 step sisters.
