Danny L. Grace of Melbourne, Florida (formerly of Bourbonnais, Illinois) was called home to be with the Lord on December 2, 2025, at the age of 79. Heaven gained a lifelong Cubs fan and a man who treated everyone like a friend.

Born August 9, 1946, in Metropolis, Illinois, to Dick and Georgia Grace, Dan grew up hardworking, fun-loving, and always on the move. He met the love of his life, Linda, as a young teen when he bought her an ice cream cone — a decision that led to a 59-year marriage and proved that true love really does exist. Linda passed away on June 30, 2025, and it brings comfort to know Dan was not apart from her for long.

Dan worked many years with Laborer Local Union 751, later at Shapiro, and also owned a lawn care business.

If you didn't hear from Dan for a while, he was likely "just driving around," conducting surprise visits and catching up with everyone he knew.

Dan enjoyed baseball, bingo, euchre, dinners out, and turning quick errands into all-day adventures. Most of all, he loved his family — his children Amy Longtin and Dustin Grace; five grandchildren, Chance, Matisan, Holden, Hunter, and Ava; his siblings; and his many in-laws.

Baptized by his youngest grandson two days before his passing, Dan is now reunited with Linda and loved ones.
