Dawne Holder Schuerger passed away on July 30, 2026, at the age of 71. She was born on April 20, 1955, to Franklin D. and Dicksie Gail Holder. Dawne is survived by her loving husband, Thomas Schuerger; son and daughter-in-law, Todd and Sonya Schuerger; parents, Franklin D and Dicksie Gail Holder; grandson, Thomas Schuerger; stepdaughter and son-in-law, Kasee Mastney and Curtis Josefick; brother and sister-in-law, George Thomas and Mary Holder; sister, Heather Holder; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Dawne was an avid reader, a gifted cook and baker, and a lover of sailing. Some of her happiest moments were spent watching her grandson sail, carrying forward a cherished tradition she and her husband enjoyed in their younger years. She brought warmth and joy to each season by decorating for every holiday and spreading cheer to those around her. Dawne also loved trying new recipes and often arrived at gatherings with homemade whoopie pies, cookies, cupcakes or other treats to share. A beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend, Dawne filled many meaningful roles throughout her life and will always remain in the hearts of those who knew her.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life open house on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Island Cremations and Funeral Service, 405 South Courtney Parkway, Merritt Island, FL 32952.
