Obituary

Deanne Dailey Hansen, 83, went home to her Lord and Saviour on January 31st, 2026. She was born to Elizabeth and Donald Dailey of Bryn Mawr, PA, on December 10, 1942; and later moved to Evansville, Indiana, graduated from North High School, attended Indiana University, and graduated from Tobe-Coburn School for Fashion Careers in New York City. Deanne then worked at SEVENTEEN Magazine in NYC, before moving to Paris, France, and ultimately to Cocoa Beach in 1970.

Her interests were many and varied from sewing and crafts of all kinds, most recently quilting; to reading, art, sailing, and animals. She was a current member of Seaside Piecemakers, Studio Art Quilt Association, Moonlighters, and Daughters of the American Revolution Cape Canaveral Chapter. Deanne was a dedicated member of East Coast Zoological Society. She was a founder and member of Brevard Zoo, and a Jaguar Society member; as well as a founder of the Bowen Aquarium. Deanne was a supporter and volunteer for Coastal Poodle Rescue; from where she adopted her beautiful miniature poodle Sky. She also was a past member and board member of both the East Coast Sailing Association and the Space Coast Art Festival.

Deanne succumbed quickly to an extremely aggressive form of endometrial cancer. She is predeceased by two husbands, Jacques Tiziou and Richard Hansen, and her brother Bill Dailey. She is survived by one close cousin, Bob Mitchell, other relatives, and so many wonderful friends.
