Donna Marie Fondi (Maglioli), beloved wife, mother, grandmother, educator, and friend, passed away surrounded by the love of her family on February 18, 2026, in Cape Canaveral, Florida. Born to Alexander Maglioli and Mary Maglioli (Gioiosa) on July 6, 1948, Donna grew up in West Warwick, Rhode Island, where her deep connection to her family and community shaped the caring and compassionate woman she became.

Donna attended West Warwick High School and, after graduation, pursued her passion for beauty and cosmetology. She opened her own salon, beginning with Luv-Li-U and later establishing Hair Dimensions, where she became widely known throughout the community for her exceptional talent as a hairstylist. Over the years, she earned numerous awards and accolades for her creativity, dedication, and artistry.

While Donna found success in business, her greatest joy in life came from being a mother. After having children, she devoted herself fully to raising and loving her family as a stay-at-home mom. As her children grew older, Donna discovered what would become her true calling: working with young children. She returned to school to earn her degree in early childhood education and spent the remainder of her career working within local school systems as a teacher's assistant. In this role, she specialized in supporting young children and students with special education needs. She found endless fulfillment in helping children learn, grow, and feel loved, and those who knew her best understood that there was nothing she enjoyed more.

Donna will be remembered most for her kindness, warmth, patience, and unwavering love for her family. She was a truly devoted mother and an extraordinary grandmother. Her grandchildren, Leo and Luca Fondi, adored her, and she cherished every moment spent with them—talking, laughing, teaching, and simply being together.

Donna was predeceased by her parents, Alexander and Mary Maglioli. She leaves behind her loving husband of 53 years, Richard Fondi; her son, Mark Fondi; her daughter, Brina Fondi, wife Megan, and their children, Leo and Luca Fondi; and her sister, Ann Kennedy; along with many extended family members, friends, former students, and community members who will miss her dearly. Donna's love, compassion, and gentle spirit will remain forever in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

A Mass in remembrance of Donna's life will be held on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church in West Warwick, RI. A gathering and refreshments will immediately follow.
