In Loving Memory of Edgar Emilio "Eddie" Gonzalez

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Edgar Emilio "Eddie" Gonzalez, who passed away on July 24, 2026, at the age of 79.

Born in the Bronx, New York, Eddie eventually made his home in Titusville, Florida, where he built a life centered around family, hard work, and the things he loved most. He shared 43 wonderful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Nilda, creating a lifetime of cherished memories together.

Eddie was the son of Eugenio and Adelfa Gonzalez. He was a devoted husband to Nilda, a proud father to his son, Edgar, and a loving grandfather to his grandson, Edgar Jr., and granddaughter, Tatiana.

He is lovingly remembered by his sisters Jeanne DeLapaz, Iesa Johnson-Mathis, and Penny Gonzalez, and by his brother, Michael Gonzalez, along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends whose lives were enriched by knowing him. He was preceded in death by his siblings, David Gonzalez and Carrie Carlo.

Eddie proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam era, a service he carried with quiet pride throughout his life. After returning home, he enjoyed a successful career with AT&T, where he worked for 30 years before retiring.

While our hearts are saddened by his passing, we are grateful for the love he shared, the example he set, and the many memories that will continue to bring comfort in the years ahead. He will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever held in our hearts.
