Florence Marie Lyon (née Manger), 83, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 7, 2026.

Mrs. Lyon "Flossie" was a resident of Eagles Mere, PA during the later part of her life where she enjoyed being an active member of the community and was fond of many wonderful friendships. During her earlier years she was a resident of Media, PA where she raised her children and was compassionately involved with her grandchildren. Over the course of her working life, Florence was employed by Boeing Vertol, Acme Markets, and many other jobs where she was always known for her dedication and hard work. Florence graduated from Notre Dame High School in Moylan, PA in 1960.

Born in Philadelphia, PA on June 5, 1943, She was a daughter of the late William and Florence (McKendrick) Manger. Florence was recently preceded in death by Raymond, her beloved husband of 61 years. The two are remembered as devoted partners who shared a lifelong bond. Their family finds comfort in knowing they are together again. Also proceeding here were her sister, Elizabeth Henry (husband James); and her brother, William. Florence is survived by her daughter, Michelle Wyant, and her husband, Gary; her daughter, Susan Barr-Shepherd; and her son, Wayne, and his wife, Heather, all of whom will carry forward her memory with love and gratitude. She was a cherished grandmother to Ryan, Matthew, Brittany, Jay, Samantha, and Andrew. She was the proud great-grandmother to Elisabeth and Micheal Conant; Zoie and Isabelle Bradbury, She is further survived by her sister, Margaret Brophy (husband Richard), and many other family members and friends.

Florence's mother passed away when she was nine years old. She stepped up to help raise her younger brother, William, and then her younger sister, Margie after her father passed when she was twenty-one. The strength and devotion to family that she embraced would define her entire life. In her mid-30s, Florence survived a life-threatening accident that left her with a traumatic brain injury. As she fought to defy the limitations that were set for her she was given the nickname "Wonder Woman". Her strength and resilience carried her forward to live a full life devoted to helping and caring for her family. She was always willing to help and lend a hand whenever needed. Her generous spirit touched everyone who knew her. 

Florence will be remembered fondly by all who knew her, and her presence will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Her life was an example of strength, resilience, and unwavering love for family.
