With heavy hearts we would like to announce the sudden passing of Gary Robert VonAlt "aka Coach/ Ditka", of Titusville, Florida formerly Brookpark, Ohio. Gary was born on 2/25/1955 and passed on 11/29/2025. Proceeded in death by his father Arthur, mother Charlene, brother's Artie, Dennis, Thomas, James and sister Lisa. Gary was formerly employed with the Plain Dealer, a retired firefighter, the owner of G.V. Trucking and several other businesses. He enjoyed golfing, boating, socializing with everyone, animals and watching Cleveland sports. Survived by his longtime companion of 31 years and wife Lynette VonAlt, sister Doreen (Len) Bartolic, sister Debby (Dave)Smith and brother Thomas (Maria) VonAlt. He was a stepfather to William (Lindsey)Kral, Nicole (Jack) Hamlett and Matthew Bejcek. He had 7 grandchildren,4 great grandchildren and uncle to 16. A celebration of life will be held on January 17th. 2026 at 1:00 pm at the VFW Post 4228 4411 Capron Rd. Titusville, Fl. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the SPCA.
