GERALD “Jerry” FRANCIS SNIPP, 85, of Cape Canaveral, died September 16, 2026 in his home surrounded by loved ones.

He was born on December 28, 1940, to John William and Lorrain Lueken Snipp in Louisville, Ky.

Jerry graduated from Valley High School in 1959. In 1967, he joined the U.S. Army Reserves and was honorably discharged in 1971 with the rank of Staff Sergeant.

He married Alice Marie Zettler on July 3, 1993, and they had a wonderful blended family: Christopher Zettler (Terri), Karen Zettler Specht (Pete), Kimberly Snipp Vance (Timothy), Michael Zettler (Janie) and Kelly Snipp Aldridge (Steven).

He worked as a foreman for 33 years and retired from Kitchen Kompact in Jeffersonville, Indiana.

He was an avid golfer, carpenter, and University of Louisville fan. He loved to spend time with family and friends.

Jerry survived by his wife Alice Marie Snipp, his children, Karen Zettler Specht (Pete), Kimberly Snipp Vance (Timothy), Michael Zettler (Janie), Kelly Snipp Aldridge (Steven) grandchildren, Samantha Zettler, Aubrey Zettler, Morgan Coronato (Matthew), Max Zettler, David Aldridge (Brianna), Ethan Aldridge, Jonas Vance, and Cole Vance, and great-grandson, Daniel Coronato.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his siblings Bernard William Snipp, Johnnie Leo “Pat” Snipp and Shirley Ann Dunn and his son Christopher Zettler and Christopher’s wife Terri.

In honor of Jerry’s beautiful life, a private gathering was celebrated with close family and friends. While chosen to keep this moment intimate, the family appreciates your thoughts, prayers, kind words and shared memories. Thank you for your continued support during this time.
