Obituary

Gerald Osborn Warwick, 93, passed away peacefully on November 3, 2026, at 6:27 a.m., surrounded by his loving family in Merritt Island, Florida.

Born on June 21, 1933, in Bellefontaine, Ohio, Gerald proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War, retiring with the rank of Sergeant First Class (E-7). Following his military service, he made Germany his home for many decades before returning to the United States in May 2025 to live with his son Mathieu and daughter-in-law Denise.

Gerald was truly one of a kind. He had a remarkable ability to connect with people and made a lasting impression on everyone he met. He was the kind of man who could walk into a room full of strangers and leave knowing everyone. His larger-than-life personality, memorable stories, and genuine connections made him an important figure in the lives of so many. To know Gerald was to remember him.

Gerald is survived by his sons, David Warwick and Mathieu Levy Warwick; daughters-in-law, Bernadette Warwick and Denise Warwick; five grandchildren, Shauni West, Maya Warwick, Cheyenne Warwick, Dylan Warwick, and Madison Warwick; his beloved great-granddaughter, Roselyn Levy West; brothers, Bill Stevens and Lynn R Warwick Jr. ; and numerous cousins and extended family members. Gerald is also fondly remembered by his former wife, Colette Swinton with whom he shared two sons, David and Mathieu Warwick.

He was preceded in death by his father, Lynn Warwick; his mother, Josephine Virginia (Turner) Taylor; and his stepfather, Clarence Taylor.

Gerald leaves behind a lifetime of cherished memories, friendships, and stories that will continue to be shared for generations. His legacy lives on not only through his family, but through the countless lives he touched along the way.

Some people come into our lives and leave memories. Others leave a piece of themselves in our hearts forever. Gerald was one of those unforgettable people.

Forever loved, forever remembered, and never forgotten.
