Helen P.
Busalacchi
Mar 4, 1941 — Oct 7, 2026
Helen Patricia Busalacchi (née Schweitzer) March 4, 1941 – October 7, 2026
Helen Patricia Busalacchi (née Schweitzer), beloved mother, sister-in-law, aunt, great-aunt, and cherished matriarch of her family, was born on March 4, 1941, and was born to eternal life on October 7, 2026.
Helen was a special woman whose presence made life better for everyone around her. She was funny, witty, loving, and kind, with a wonderful sense of humor and a gift for making people feel comfortable and cared for. She was a great listener, the kind of person who would always make time for you, no matter what was going on in her own life.
Helen was selfless, generous, and deeply caring. She gave of herself freely and never hesitated to put the needs of her family and others before her own. She was the heart of the family, the person who brought everyone together and whose love created a sense of home wherever she was.
She was also a fantastic cook, and many of her family’s fondest memories will be centered around her kitchen, her meals, and the love she put into everything she prepared. Helen had a strong personality and could certainly be stubborn when she believed she was right, which, in her mind, was most of the time. That stubbornness was part of what made her uniquely Helen, and her family wouldn’t have wanted her any other way.
Helen had a special love for animals and treated them with the same compassion and affection she showed people. Her beloved Bella and Runway held a particularly special place in her heart and were lucky to have been loved by her.
Above all, Helen was a proud mother to her sons, Steve and Mark, who were the center of her world. Her love for them was unconditional and unwavering, and she took great pride in the men they became. She was also a dear sister-in-law to Anna Busalacchi, and a beloved aunt to Lyndsey Connolly and Tyler Coppock, great-aunt to Dotty and George Connolly and dear friend to Lorrie Zinda and Mary Lilly who will be deeply missed by the rest of her extended family.
Helen leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, generosity, family traditions, and countless memories that will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
Though she is no longer with us, the love she gave so freely will remain a part of her family forever. We look forward to her mid-of-the-night pocket dial from heaven.
May she rest in eternal peace.
Helen is preceded in death by her father Frank Schweitzer and mother, Margaret Schweitzer (nee Tomasino).
The family would also like to thank the Health First Hospice nurses and doctors for the professionalism, kindness and great care they gave during Helen’s last days, especially Tracie Zimmer who Helen became very attached to and provided incredible support during the most difficult time of this process.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider making a monetary donation to the William Child Hospice House 381 Medplex Parkway, Palm Bay FL 32907
