Obituary

With profound sorrow, we announce that John Allen Westfall passed peacefully at age 65, on May 25, 2026 at his residence after a protracted battle with lung cancer and COPD. He will be fondly remembered for his incredible generosity, kindness, and fun-loving spirit. His compassionate heart and gentlemanly demeanor left an indelible mark on all who knew him. He is survived by his sister Kim, sister Carol Ann, brother Charles, brother Dan, 2 nieces, 5 nephews. He was a great uncle to 2 boys, 2 girls, and the love of his life and best friend, Catherine. Rest in peace, John. Your memory will forever be cherished in our hearts. – Kim

I met Jonathan (I always called him that) over 40 years ago. For me, it was love at first sight, and we were together for many, many years. We always stayed in contact. Deep down, I always knew Jonathan was the one for me. When my former partner left, Jonathan moved in with me to help with expenses, and we lived together as best friends for many years. When Jonathan became extremely sick, I was overcome with profound sadness because I was losing my rock and best friend. Jonathan was so strong and fought until the very end. I admired Jonathan's strength, determination, drive, and even his silly jokes. I was lucky enough to be with Jonathan until the bitter end, when he could fight no more. I will love you forever. Goodbye, until we meet again. – Catherine

My brother John was the kid brother everyone wished for. He was the perfect friend. I will miss him more than anyone in my life I've ever known. He could make you laugh and you would never see it coming. He had a big heart, and I know that he loved me as much as I loved him. We once shared a bedroom as boys. Just 6 years younger than myself and the one I adored and loved more than my other siblings. He was special and kind and sweet. A perfect little brother. May you rest in peace sweet little guy until we meet again. You are in my heart every day and my mind. I love you and are the very first angel I'm gonna find when we're together in heaven. – Chuck
