Joseph Wayne Englert, 70, passed away on September 8, 2026. He was born on November 22, 1955, and raised in Louisville, Kentucky.

Joe retired from Jefferson County Public Schools (JCPS), where he worked as a computer technician. After retiring, he moved to Florida to be near the beach, something he loved.

Joe enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, especially the many years spent together on the lake. Some of his favorite memories were made there, surrounded by the people he loved.

Joe was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Elois Tingle Englert; his father, Eugene George Englert; and his brother, Eugene Englert.

He is survived by his children, Jamie Englert, Eric Englert (Susan), David Englert (Sarah), and Micaela Pulliam (Taylor); his sister, Lynna Emory (Lyn); and his brother, Dan Tingle (Patty). He was a proud grandfather to Lincoln, Camden, Caiden, Addyson, Kinsley, Olivia, Lily, Rylie, and Logan. He is also survived by his beloved dog, Sparrow.

Joe will be deeply missed by his family and friends. He leaves behind many memories, stories, and moments that will be cherished by those who knew and loved him.
