Obituary

Julian Waller passed away peacefully on August 25th following a long and hard fight against the cancer that took him from us. Julian was an exceptional person with many gifts who volunteered in a number of areas; at a steam railway trust, teaching air cadets, and organising robotics clubs for school students. He was born in Singapore in 1964, and grew up in many countries all over the world thanks to his father’s military and diplomatic background. He studied engineering in Brighton, graduating with a bachelor’s degree, later going on to attain Chartered Engineer status as part of a strong and varied career in his field. Julian was briefly married in England, and was delighted to welcome his oldest child, Dan, who is not able to be with the family at this time, but who was able to spend time with his Dad in Pittsburg while Julian was in hospital, something which brought Julian a lot of joy. Maria and Julian married in 2002, and Julian became a step-parent to Anthony, Maria’s son. In 2004, they welcomed Julian Jr, and the family lived in New York for many years before moving to Florida a decade ago. Julian’s parents, John and Ruth Waller, travelled the world, settling in Ireland in the late 1980s, where they lived until John’s passing in 2024. Julian was a beloved son and brother, as well as a devoted husband who always did his best to be a loving and supportive father. We grieve his loss, but we are grateful for his life, and for the time we shared with him. His funeral will take place on Saturday the 5th of September at 10am in the church of Saint Sebastian by-the-sea, Melbourne Beach, Florida. We will be live streaming the service for those who are not able to attend, and the link is attached here 🔴 https://www.youtube.com/live/0TsV8MeRHn8(PRIMARY) with a secondary link should we experience technical issues during the livestream here: https://www.youtube.com/live/q-Hl6mpJ-1w (SECONDARY)
