In loving memory of Susie Fyvie (née Stone), we regret to announce her passing on April 30, 2026 in Viera, Florida. A devoted wife of 52 years to William, she was also a doting mother to Sean (Heather), dear grandmother to Santina, and a loyal, loving stepmother to Wendy (née Fyvie) Desharnais and Tami (née Fyvie) Pennock. Susie was a dedicated friend/advocate for many who knew her and will be missed by all.

As a military spouse, she delayed the start of her career until her husband’s retirement. Having an Associate of Science degree in Medical Records Technology she became the Manager of the Medical Records Department at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady, NY. Before retirement she moved on to managing the hospital volunteers and gift shop.

Susie remained active and fun-loving well into her later years. She was always a fierce and courageous protector of those she loved. Her memory endures as a potent source of direction and inspiration. We love you so much and will not forget. Rest in peace.

Susie is predeceased by her parents. She is survived by her husband, her younger sister Kathe Stone Mackenzie (Jerome), younger brothers Howard Stone (Penny) and Guy Stone (Melody), two stepdaughters, her son, her son’s godparents Lynn and Jerry Best, and her granddaughter.
