Obituary

Kenneth J. Anstett, of Cocoa, FL, joined his wife Judy Anstett in Heaven on November 6th, 2025. He was 81 years old.

He was born in Hartford, CT to Kenneth "Pinky" L. Anstett and Mary Santina "Sunday" Anstett (Barisano) on May 23rd, 1944. After graduating from Prince Technical High School in Hartford, CT, he joined the US Air Force. He was stationed in Germany where he served as a jet engine mechanic during the Vietnam War. Upon his return, he continued his service at Pratt & Whitney as a jet engine mechanic for military planes. He also worked as an automobile mechanic and as a pipe fitter for Atlantic Valve in Westfield, MA. Kenneth was also a highly skilled specialist for nuclear power plants, traveling around the country to complete incredibly detailed maintenance on reactors and turbine engines in order to remove radioactive contamination. Later he became a supervisor, overseeing other specialists in completing this intricate process.

Kenneth married his wife Judy Anstett (Martin) on August 1st, 1970. The couple lived and worked in Westfield, MA for most of their lives before moving to Florida. They lived in the Lost Lakes community in Cocoa, FL for over fifteen years. Together, the couple enjoyed taking trips on snowmobiles, motorcycles, and cruise ships as well as caring for the three small dogs they loved over their lifetimes: Tina, Weebit, and Miley.

Kenny was a mechanically gifted person with a mischievous sense of humor. He was an avid bowler, an active participant in weekly card games at the Lost Lakes clubhouse, and a member of the American Legion. He loved NASCAR and closely followed each and every race. Kenny was most proud of his car collection. He collected both antique and brand new cars and made sure to keep them all spotless and shining. He kept a book with pictures detailing every car he'd owned in his lifetime.

Kenneth was predeceased by his wife Judy Anstett (Martin), who passed away on October 9th, 2025, as well as his brothers James Anstett and Donald Anstett. He is survived by his children Kenneth P. Anstett and Michele Anstett; his sister Carolyn Anstett; his sister-in-law Siv; his four grandchildren Justin (and his fiancée Andrea), Elizabeth (and her husband Frank), Andrew (and his wife Jess), and Annmarie; and his four great-grandchildren Ev, Dominic, Harper, and Amelia.

A memorial service and burial for Judy and Kenny will be held at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery in Mims, FL on January 16th, 2026 at 2PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or the Brevard Humane Society. The family wishes to extend their sincerest gratitude to the skilled and compassionate staff at VITAS Inpatient Hospice Unit in Rockledge FL
