KIM ANN
URBAN
Sep 28, 1957 — Aug 8, 2026
In Loving Memory of Kim Ann Urban
Kim Ann Urban, 68, of Cocoa Beach, Florida, passed away peacefully on August 8, 2026, surrounded by her family and loved ones.
Kim was born on September 28, 1957, in Hamden, Connecticut, to Thomas and Grace Urban. She was a loving mother, daughter, aunt, friend, and an “adoptive” mom and grandmother to many. Kim will be remembered for her strength, caring personality, love of hockey, animals, and, of course, her cooking.
Kim grew up in Hamden and attended Hamden Public Schools. Later, she found herself in West Haven, Connecticut, where she met the father of her children. She spent many years there attending hockey games, dance recitals, and countless events, always supporting her daughters in whatever they put their minds to. Along the way, she made lifelong friends in West Haven—friends who eventually became family.
After retirement, Kim moved to Florida with her longtime partner, Davie. Together, they enjoyed their home, spending countless hours in their backyard and pool, watching the wildlife pass by and enjoying the company of their furry friends. It was a place where Kim found happiness, peace, and time to enjoy the simple things she loved.
Kim had a heart that always seemed to have room for one more. She loved spending time with her family and friends, but she also welcomed her daughters’ friends into her life and treated them as her own. She opened her home and her heart to those who needed a place to go, whether for a holiday, a meal, a place to stay, or simply someone to be there for them. Many people were lucky enough to call Kim “Mom” or “Grammy,” even if they weren't related to her by blood.
Kim's strength, loyalty, generosity, and friendship touched countless lives. She had a way of making people feel like family, and the love she gave so freely will continue to live on in everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
Kim is survived by her parents, Thomas and Grace Urban; her daughters, Bianca Bonessi (Matt Dusek) and Tia (Louis) Flood, who are expecting her grandson, Hayes Flood; her beloved fur babies, Bayne, Arrow, and Whisky; as well as countless family members, friends, and “adopted” family who loved her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her lifelong partner, David “Davie” Walters, and the father of her children, George Bonessi.
Kim will be remembered for her gentle strength, her fierce love for her family, and her unwavering loyalty to the people she loved. She had a way of making everyone feel welcome and cared for, opening her heart and home to so many over the years. Above all, Kim leaves behind a legacy of love that will live on through her children, grandchildren, and the many people she welcomed into her family.
Forever loved. Forever missed. Forever in our hearts.
