Marna Peterson (Radunz)'s Story
1950 – 2025 Age 75 Viera, Florida
Marna (Radunz) Peterson, age 75, passed away peacefully on December 9, 2025, in Viera, Florida.
Born on September 12, 1950, in Litchfield, Minnesota, Marna was the daughter of Donald and Marcelyn "Marcy" Radunz. She grew up in Hutchinson, Minnesota and pursued her passion for education by earning a bachelor's degree in teaching from St. Cloud State University.
After college, Marna couldn't find any teaching jobs and moved to the twin cities. She built a fulfilling career at Century Link, where she worked for many years before retiring as a Service Delivery Coordinator. She took great pride in her work and cherished the friendships she formed with her colleagues throughout her time at the phone company.
She married Pete in 1983 and they spent many wonderful years together before parting ways in 2011 and remaining good friends. A devoted mother and grandmother, Marna is survived by her daughter Mary and son-in-law Alex Miltenberger; and her beloved grandsons Easton, Hudson, and Landon. She also leaves behind her siblings Jim, Teryl, and Brian, along with several nieces and nephews and friends who held a special place in her heart.
She was preceded in death by her parents Donald and Marcelyn "Marcy", her former husband Darwin (Pete) Peterson and sister-in-law Rochelle.
Marna was known for her loving spirit, caring nature, and adventurous soul. She found joy in life's simple pleasures including spending time at the cabin by Belle Lake, shopping for clothes and makeup with enthusiasm, traveling and spending time with her special friend Ronnie, enjoying meaningful moments with friends, and creating lasting memories with her family. Her Lutheran faith was an important part of her life, and she found comfort and community through attending church.
Her warmth touched many lives, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her. May her memory bring comfort to those who loved her. A Celebration of Life will be planned for August 2026 and held in Minnesota. Marna will be laid to rest in Hutchinson near her parents.
If you would like to honor Marna's legacy, a donation to the Alzheimer's Association would be greatly appreciated.
