Born in Azrou, Morocco she was raised at the Children's Haven with many of her loving brothers and sisters by the Pitts, the Gates, Mommy Mary and Auntie Ruthie.

Rachel met the love of her life, Bill, in 1983, and came to the United States where they married October 19, 1984. They lived in Tucson Arizona for the majority of their lives and it is where they raised their two kids, Kyle Anderson born in 1986 and

Mary Anderson born in 1987. Once both children were school age, Rachel went back to school and graduated from nursing school as an R.N., in 1997. Rachel loved Nursing, and excelled at it, combining her nurturing spirit with dedication. She often found this a great time to share God's love whenever she could.

In her spare time, Mom loved music more than anything. She liked to grow orchids and flowers, was a passionate reader, and loved her cats. She liked to find unique antiques and learn their history. She loved photography, swimming, and singing gospel music and rock and roll. Most of all, on good days or bad, she always loved the Lord.

She is survived by her husband William A. Anderson, her son and daughter in law, Kyle and Shelby Anderson, and her daughter Mary Anderson.

A funeral service will be held 11:00AM, Tuesday, September 22, 2026 at Island Cremation and Funeral Home. Visitation will be held one hour prior. Burial to follow in Brevard Memorial Park.
