Obituary

Mary Elizabeth Cooper—affectionately known as "Gracey" and "Amazing Grace"—was born in Deland, Florida, on December 17, 1947, to Charles Albert Gracey and Clemmie Mae Strickland.

In 1975, she wed the love of her life, United States Army veteran Larry Dale Siniard, who preceded her in death in 1983. As a dedicated mother and grandmother, her deepest joy centered on her family, including her children, grandchildren, and dear friends. Her profound strength, warmth, and faith served as the foundation for her family.

Gracey dedicated her life to Jesus Christ at an early age. She was an active congregant at both East Coast Christian Center and First Baptist Church Merritt Island, where she truly treasured her time with the Ladies Only Sunday School class.

Her enduring faith guided every aspect of her life, shaping how she lived, loved, and connected with everyone around her. Following her graduation from Seminole High School, she obtained her cosmetology license in 1966, embarking on a remarkable 55-year career as a hairdresser. For Gracey, styling hair was not simply a job, it was a ministry. She poured her faith into her work daily, serving as both a confidant and counselor, treating every client with compassion and ensuring each person left her chair feeling heard, valued, beautiful, and loved.

In her youth, Gracey expressed her vibrant creativity through painting and drawing. Committed to personal growth, she continually took classes to enhance her career and enrich her mind. In her leisure time, she enjoyed reading and watching crime documentaries on television.

Gracey leaves an enduring legacy rooted in love, joy, and devotion. She is survived by her beloved children, Christopher Brian Siniard and Amee' Nichole Chrisman, and her grandchildren, Justin Thomas Chrisman and Emilee’ Elizabeth Chrisman. Her memory will be forever treasured by a large circle of extended family, lifelong friends, and dedicated clients.

"Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in

the house of the Lord forever." — Psalm 23:6
