Obituary

Michael Patrick Brady, 69, passed away peacefully on February 16, 2026, at his home in Cocoa Beach, Florida. He was born in San Francisco, California to Pat and Jim Brady on September 6, 1956.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Bob and Elissa Lower of Lompoc, California and Iva Marshall and James T. Brady of San Francisco, California.

Mike is survived by his wife Janice of 38 years, his parents, sister Kellie Huyck, daughter Casey (Josh), granddaughter Elissa, and grandson Benjamin.

When Mike married Janice, he gained three daughters – Lori (Alex), Cindy (Jay), and Nonie (Ronny) – whom he loved as his own. He was also a proud grandfather to Tony, Stephanie, Nicole, and Nick, and to five great-grandchildren, who lovingly called Mike and Janice "The Greats".

Mike also leaves behind aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, and many dear friends.

Mike was a devoted friend and always there when you needed him. Mike and his dad talked about sports all the time. He loved his family deeply, calling them often and spending time with family at his favorite place in Lompoc, Miguelito Park.

Mike and his wife Janice loved to travel, visiting friends overseas in France and Ireland and within the United States on their way to California to visit family. They also loved camping adventures and their time camp hosting in Florida and Oregon.

Mike retired from Lockheed Martin after 38 years of service building many lasting friendships both at Lockheed Martin and while living in Cocoa Beach since 1999.

Michael will be deeply missed by his laughter, his smiling eyes, his love of fun and music, and of course his devotion to the San Francisco Giants and a forever 49er faithful fan.

We miss and love you.

"It is what it is." (Mike's favorite saying)
