Our beloved mom, Mimi, sister, wife, aunt, cousin, and colleague, Minnie Wood Loggins, left this world on July 14, 2026 after a courageous battle with health challenges that were further complicated following pneumonia.

Minnie was born on January 13, 1947, in High Point, North Carolina, and moved to Florida in 1968, where she built a life filled with love, family, and lasting friendships.

She was a devoted mother and cherished Mimi to her two children, two stepchildren, five grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. Her family was the center of her world, and she treasured every moment spent with them.

Before retiring, Minnie loved her work at Island Dental Lab, where she made deliveries and gladly helped wherever she was needed. She formed meaningful friendships with her boss and coworkers and took great pride in being part of the Island Dental Lab family.

In retirement, Minnie found joy in life's simple pleasures. She loved going out to lunch and shopping with friends and family, spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and making memories with the people she loved most. Her kind heart, warm smile, and caring spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Minnie was preceded in death by her mother, Luola Rumley Wood; her father, Otis Marcus Wood; her brothers, Earl Lawrence Wood, Marcus Erwin Wood, and Donald Wayne Wood; and her husband, Carl W. Loggins Jr.

She is survived by her sister, Janet Thomas; her brother, Larry Wood; her sister, Vickie Wood (Rick Boyd); her children, Christie Rhoades and Brian Lohr; her stepchildren, Jennifer Samartino (Joey) and Troy Loggins (Shelley); her grandchildren, Shea Watkins (Coates), Randy Rhoades III (Tiffany), Jessee Rhoades (Minda-Mari), Delilah Samartino, and Dawson Samartino; her great-grandchildren, Hailey Pharris, Kaitlyn Pharris, Atticus Watkins, and Lily Rhoades; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends who loved her deeply and will miss her always.

Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing that Minnie's love, kindness, and gentle spirit will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.

A celebration of life to honor Minnie’s memory will be held on August 15, 2026 from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm in the Doyle Carlton building at Kiwanis Island in Merritt Island.
