Richard Beal lived a life full of curiosity, creativity, adventure, and an unmistakable sense of humor.A world traveler at heart, Richard embraced the opportunity to experience places and cultures far beyond home. His adventures took him to Indonesia, Dubai, Singapore, Kenya, and many other destinations. Among his especially memorable experiences were a camera safari in Kenya and a trip to Mount Everest Base Camp—adventures that reflected his lifelong willingness to explore, learn, and see the world for himself.

Richard was also deeply creative. He shared his love of art and nature with others through photography. His creativity wasn't simply a pastime; it was something he genuinely enjoyed sharing with the people around him.

Those who knew Richard will remember that he had a personality all his own. He was direct, outspoken, independent, and never particularly interested in pretending to be someone he wasn't. He had a sharp sense of humor and a memorable way of putting things. In his own words, he tried not to be an asshole—unless someone was being an asshole to him first. That irreverent honesty was part of Richard, and those who loved him knew how to appreciate the humor behind it.

Richard was also grateful for the people who crossed his path throughout his life, including the many wonderful customers and friends who became part of his journey.

Above all, Richard lived on his own terms. He traveled, taught, laughed, spoke his mind, and collected stories along the way. He leaves behind memories that are as colorful, adventurous, and unmistakably Richard as a life well lived.
