Richard Simmons, 85, of Rockledge, FL, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 12, 2025.

He was born on January 17, 1940, in Mount Airy, NC, to the late Harvey and Polly Simmons. He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Linda; a daughter and son in law, Pam Ullo (Denny) of St. Louis, MO; a son, Rick Simmons of Port St. John, FL; a granddaughter, Katharine Ullo of Winter Park, FL; a sister Billie Simmons of Cocoa, FL, a sister Becky Gordon of Mount Airy, NC, and sister Melissa Schubert (Dave) of Cocoa, FL, and several nieces and nephews.

He will be remembered lovingly for his good nature, affinity for cars, particularly vintage Pontiacs, and his quick wit. He will be sorely missed.

Richard's career spanned many years in aerospace and in military and commercial airplane manufacturing.

A Remembrance Service will be held on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at 1:00 PM at The Old Florida House, 406 Florida Avenue, Cocoa, FL. The family requests contributions be made to the American Alzheimer's Association or the American Cancer Society in lieu of flowers.
