Rita Maceroni of Cocoa Beach FL, a devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, and proud American citizen, passed away on June 27th, 2026 at the age of 85 leaving behind a legacy built on hard work, love, and the realization of the American dream.
Rita was born in San Francisco Argentina. She met the love of her life Anselmo Maceroni in Buenos Aires and wed . They had two children together.
In 1963, Rita made the courageous choice to leave Argentina, arriving in New York State as a young mother of two. Alongside her beloved husband, Anselmo, she embarked on a journey to build a new life in the United States. For Rita and Anselmo, this country represented a beacon of hope, liberty, and freedom—values they cherished deeply and saw symbolized every day in the Statue of Liberty.
By 1970, Rita’s family had grown, and she was proudly raising her four children. One of the proudest moments of her and Anselmo’s lives came in 1977, when they officially became citizens of the United States. They loved this country deeply and were profoundly grateful for the opportunities and freedom it provided their family.
Throughout the 1970s and 1980s, Rita dedicated herself entirely to her family as a full-time mother. She nurtured her four children with boundless care, and her kitchen was the heart of the home. Rita’s love was felt most warmly through her cooking; she poured her heart into preparing wonderful meals, ensuring her family always gathered around a table filled with love and warmth.
Her legacy of resilience, patriotism, and maternal devotion will live on in the family she sacrificed so much to build. The family is comforted, knowing that Rita and Anselmo are together again.
Rita is survived by her four children Sandra, Claudia, Michelle and Marcello , her daughter-in-law, Kim, and her son-in-law Tom, her seven cherished grandchildren, her five adored great-grandchildren, and her loving sister Elva, who will continue to honor her memory and the beautiful life she created.
