Rodney Paul Bornefeld, 79, of Rockledge, Florida, passed away peacefully on November 22, 2025. Born in Evansville, Indiana, on November 12, 1946, Rodney was the first son of Maurine and Harold Bornefeld. Rodney was known for his quick wit, love of fried foods and devotion to the Shriners, where he once served as worshipful master at the Canaveral Masonic Lodge No. 339. Rodney is also a Vietnam Veteran serving in the U.S. Army from 1964-1970. Rodney is predeceased by his brother Laurent and is survived by his two sisters Patricia Fairey and Sharon Keyes. A memorial service will be held for Rodney at St. Luke's Episcopal Church on 5555 North Tropical Trail, Merritt Island, Florida, at 1:00 pm, January 17, 2026. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Shriners Children's organization.
