Obituary

Rosemarie Caulfield, 91, of Somers, New York, passed away peacefully on March 29, 2026, surrounded by her loving family at her home at Palm Cottages in Rockledge, Florida.

Born on November 4, 1934, in Brooklyn, New York, she was the beloved daughter of John Laico and Alice Pesterino Laico.

Rosemarie lived a life defined by devotion to her family, meaningful friendships, and a strong sense of purpose. She dedicated herself wholeheartedly to raising her family, enjoyed traveling with her husband, and took great pride in her professional accomplishments.

She will be deeply missed by her brother, Carmine Charles Laico; her sister-in-law, Dorothy Rocco; her children, Lorraine Grasso (Louis), Thomas Caulfield (Sandra), and Leslie Keenan (David); and her cherished grandchildren, Steven Grasso, Christen DeMagistris (Daniel), Sean Grasso (Sarah), Erin Paszko (Brian), Alexandra Love (John), Christopher Keenan, and Matthew Caulfield. She is also lovingly remembered by her great-grandchildren, Stella Grasso, Holden Grasso, Roman DeMagistris, Abigail Grasso, Mariella DeMagistris, Elliott Paszko, Miles Paszko, and Jack Love, as well as many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband, George Caulfield; her brother, John Laico; her sister-in-law, Dolores Laico; and her brother-in-law, Al Rocco.

Rosemarie found great joy in spending time with her children and grandchildren. She also had a passion for traveling, volunteering, participating in social clubs, cooking, gardening, reading and the arts, especially creating artwork, knitting, and going to the theater – interests that enriched her life and the lives of those around her.

A service to honor Rosemarie's life will be held at Island Cremations and Funeral home (405 S Courtney Parkway, Merrit Island) at 1:00PM on June 19th, 2026. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations in Rosemarie's memory be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at www.stjude.org or to the Brooklyn Public Library at www.bklynlibrary.org.
